Free Background Checks In The State Of Kentucky

In Kentucky, the churches have access to free background checks on people who wish to work as volunteers with the children.

Kentucky is eager to let the people know that these services are provided by the state.  They cover all the jurisdictions in the state and provide all the information about a volunteer’s past convictions if any.  If found positive for any convictions, these people will not be allowed to be around children, to ensure the safety of children.

It is very simple to request free background checks on any volunteer. All it takes is completing a form and getting the information about the person.  All public records, such as their criminal records, sex offence records and any other criminal activity records can be procured.

The results of these checks can be procured in a week’s time.  Churches no longer have the option of allowing unchecked volunteers to work with the children.

Most of the Kentucky Baptist churches are making use of these free background checks, including nationwide checks to find records from other states that these volunteers may have.

Churches are also told to ensure that at least two adults who are unrelated are with the children in the same room at all times.  Churches should also take volunteers who have been with the church and active for at least six months.

There should also be meetings arranged by the Ministers with the other church members to discuss the safety of children.
